Work and Family for All

One of the passages in Proverbs that overlaps both last week's talk (on work) and this coming weekend's talk (on family) is Proverbs 31:10-31. It's the passage about the ideal wife. I don't know what sort of picture comes to your mind, but frankly the passage is pretty shocking/amazing. Intrigued? Take a look when you get a chance...

Speaking of that, this Sunday we embark on a discussion of family. While it may seem initially irrelevant to some of you (I'm thinking of you singles, and marrieds without kids), in reality family is relevant to all of us. We are all products of some sort of family- good or bad. And, because of our relationship to Jesus, we are all a part of God's family.

Which reminds me: our Thanksgiving Celebration is Saturday, as all of you know. God willing, it's going to be a great time together, as a family! Make sure you respond to the previous emails sent out about this special event for our church and community.
