Summer Wrap Up
Yen and I watched a movie this last Sunday that I want to recommend here. End of the Spear, a 2006 release, tells the true story of 5 young 20-30 somethings that lost their lives in an attempt to share the message of Jesus to the Auca Indians of South America. It was a gripping movie, capturing a number of the themes we looked at over the summer. If you have a chance, rent it/buy it/borrow it this week, get some friends together, and watch it. Seriously- I think it'll cap off our summer together in a great manner.
Speaking of the end of the summer, we have a lot to be thankful for as we transition into the fall. Usually, we have a Celebration Sunday to thank God for all that happens during a quarter. We don't have one scheduled for the end of this summer, but thanks still needs to be given! If you could spend a moment this week reflecting back on what God has done over the course of the last few weeks and thank God, that would be great.
As Fall approaches, there are a number of opportunities for involvement and service in the Ethnos community. Please be sure to check out the announcements below and get plugged in. Have a great week!
Yours,
Yucan
