Praying when I don't feel it
I was trying to pray this week, and found it hard to figure out what to pray for. So I turned to a prayer in the Bible, and found it bringing life and focus to my prayers. The text is here:
"I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God."- Ephesians 3:16-19
It's amazing how the Bible brings us the right thoughts and focus in so many ways; it's truly a gift! May we be encouraged this week to get into our Bibles- personally and in our various weekday groups- regardless of where we are in the spiritual journey, to find the life we need.
