Educate

Hello Ethnos:

There are multiple stories in the Bible where the concept of learning is key.

I think of Luke 24, for example, where a few followers of Jesus didn't get that Jesus had to die. And so Jesus, "beginning with Moses and all the Prophets... interpreted to them in all the Scriptures the things concerning himself." (24:27)

I think of the story where an Ethiopian official was trying to understand the Bible, but had no clue. When asked if he understood, he replied "How can I, unless someone guides me?" (Acts 8:31). Philip, the one who had asked the question, then "opened his mouth, and beginning with this Scripture he told him the good news about Jesus." (8:35)

This weekend begins our third and final Formatio class. These classes, along with our Community Groups, Groups Investigating God, and Sunday Gatherings, are all designed for us to learn, grow, and eventually help others do the same. If you haven't gotten involved yet, make sure you explore the possibilities.
